The Sparkling Gem of Spain: The Charm of Spanish Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Rosé. Viva España
As the owner of a wine and beer beverage company, you'd be surprised to know that I don't drink every day. In fact, there are weeks on end when I don’t drink a single alcoholic beverage. However, when I do partake in a beverage, I want it to be the best quality possible and to taste amazing! Of course, IYLIA is like any other collection in the world. We produce our grapes in a region where there is a focus on clean farming practices. You have never seen lush greenery until you’ve traveled through Central Spain. There are varietals of grapes that we use here that are indigenous to Spain. The climate is temperate to the point where many grapes used in French and Italian brands are now grown here in Spain. Due to global warming, year over year Spain has been able to maintain somewhat consistent growth yields, whereas other regions of the world suffer the effects of their intemperate and changing climates.
I imagine most people consider me a fairly health-conscious person. I really started to focus on my health and well-being towards the beginning of my career as I found myself traveling the world, with my body really paying the price for it.
I started working on this product three years ago. I thoroughly did my research, ordering every single non-alcoholic beverage we could find. We scoured the market and were left incredibly underwhelmed by what the non-alcoholic alternative market had to offer. The available ‘alternative’ beverages lacked flavor and the texture reminiscent of the original or alcoholic version.
Our primary focus at IYLIA is on creating a collection of robust flavors through our extreme focus on quality. The 'calidad' (as it’s said in Español) is the reason our collection is created in Spain.
The Spanish wine industry has created a category called "ecological wine production," which means we mindfully use the least amount of chemicals from the growth of the fruit all the way through production. Our
Non-alcoholic beverages in the wine and beer space are somewhat of an anomaly in terms of production in Europe. Europeans don’t quite understand the idea of removing the alcoholic element from an alcoholic product. It literally took us three years to find a production facility that was willing and had the capability to create such a premier product.
